1oz Chinese Mint Panda Silver Bullion Coin, 999.0 Fine Silver, 2015
The Chinese Silver Panda contains 1oz of fine silver and 2015 was the last year the China mint produced the Panda coins in this weight. The design of the Silver Panda changes each year.
From 2016 the Silver Panda is issued as a metric coin and its 30g (.9645 troy ounces) weight replaces the previous 1oz silver coins.
Each China Silver Panda is guaranteed for quality and purity by the People’s Republic of China and has a face value of 10 Yuan. The 2015 coin features:
*/ On the reverse a single panda resting whilst eating a bamboo branch, plus the coin face value.
*/ On the obverse the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, and the year of issue.
The coin is produced by more than one mint, including the Shanghai and Shenzhen mints. Chinese mints do not use mintmarks but instead, each mint produces a Silver Panda with a slight design variation. For example, font size or the length of the bamboo branch.
Supplied in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition and these coins are starting to show signs of luster/toning which is very natural and many suggest desirable with silver.
